Authorization & Recognition

Mahatma Gandhi University, Sikkim, was established under [State Act No.21 of 2022 ] by the Government of Sikkim. The university is in active correspondence with the University Grants Commission (UGC) for official recognition and inclusion in the UGC list under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.

MGU operates in full compliance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and adheres to all statutory norms for curriculum, governance, and quality assurance.
